This course is designed for students who plan to enroll or have enrolled in the interpretation track of the Chinese/English Translation and Interpretation Program. It aims to enhance students’ language proficiency and to prepare them for further training in interpretation. Important skills for interpreters, such as active listening, paraphrasing, and summarizing, will be covered. Students will have abundant practice in class but are also expected do specific exercises after class.
